A Watershed Dinner and Discussion - September 22nd

The North Fork Crow River Watershed Collaborative invites the community to shape local natural resource future! The invitation is being extended to all area residents and watershed stakeholders for a complimentary meal and community conversation focused on the vital natural resources within the North Fork Crow River Watershed. The event will take place on Tuesday, September 22nd, from 4:30pm to 7:00pm at the Litchfield Eagles (389 CSAH 34 South, Litchfield MN 55355).
The North Fork Crow River Watershed Collaborative (NFCRWC) has started the work to update the 10-year comprehensive watershed management plan that started in 2018. Through the One Watershed, One Plan program, NFCRWC is required to update the plan and renew it for another 10 years.
“Our collaborative team is excited to share our accomplishments over the past 8 years and hear from our community members what we should focus on during the next 10 years. As one of the first watersheds to go through the program, we have learned a lot from our efforts and neighboring watersheds and our team wants to incorporate the best of the best in our updated plan,” said Stephanie Hatzenbihler, Water Plan Coordinator with Stearns Conservation District.
This upcoming event provides a valuable opportunity for community members to actively shape that vision. Attendees will be invited to share their ideas, concerns, and aspirations for the watershed – contributions that will meaningfully influence ongoing planning and conversation.
The evening will begin with check-in and a buffet dinner from 4:30 PM to 5:00 PM, followed by guided discussions and engaging activities designed to gather diverse perspectives. To support families, a staffed children's activity station will be available, allowing parents to participate fully in the discussions.
