The Stearns Conservation District recognizes the Welle Family as the 2025 Stearns County Wildlife Habitat Stewards. The Stearns Conservation District awards a Wildlife Habitat Steward every year for their outstanding accomplishments related to sustaining wildlife habitat on their land. The Welle Family was also recognized as the 2025 Minnesota Association of Soil and Water Conservation Districts (MASWCD)/Pheasants Forever Wildlife Habitat Stewards. Steve Welle and his family are passionate stewards of wildlife and have demonstrated exceptional commitment to enhancing and preserving wildlife habitat on their land.
