7th Annual Nitrogen: Minnesota's Grand Challenge and Compelling Opportunity Conference

The 7th Annual Nitrogen: Minnesota’s Grand Challenge and Compelling Opportunity Conference will be held via zoom on February 9, 2021. This event is organized and hosted by the University of Minnesota Extension and the Minnesota Agricultural Water Resource Center (MAWRC), with support from the Minnesota Department of Agriculture (MDA) and other sponsors.

The conference will feature presentations on agronomics with a focus on water quality, ways to mitigate nitrogen loss, nitrogen management in irrigated systems, and nitrogen cycling. Speakers from the University of Minnesota and other institutions will present valuable information on nitrogen management. There will be opportunities to ask questions after the presentations.

Due to Covid-19, this year we will hold the event virtually. The program is similar to past years, but the format is modified to allow you as participants to take in most of the information on your own. All presentations will be available for viewing one week prior to the conference. In order to keep the conference day program shorter while still allowing a question and answer session, the researchers will provide brief summaries of their presentation on February 9 during the zoom program, followed by discussion. Participants can submit questions while viewing the full presentations during the week prior to February 9.

All presentations will be recorded and available for viewing at your convenience.

The event is free, and advance registration is required to receive the link to participate via zoom.
