Nolan began his academic journey at Central Lakes College in Brainerd, Minnesota, earning an Associate of Arts in Natural Resources Technology. He then graduated from the University of Minnesota – Crookston, with a bachelor’s degree in Natural Resources Management.
Nolan brings hands-on experience in forestry, park maintenance, and wildlife management. Nolan coordinates and implements conservation and other wildlife related programs. He also provides technical assistance for wildlife habitat enhancement. Recently, he earned his Woodland Stewardship Plan Writer’s Certificate, enabling him to assist Stearns County landowners in developing sustainable woodland management plans. In addition to this, Nolan is a certified FAA drone pilot for the SCD, enhancing his ability to survey and monitor natural habitats.
Outside of work, Nolan enjoys hunting, fishing, and playing sports—including baseball for the Pearl Lake Lakers—as well as golf, volleyball, and other recreational activities.
