Three Rivers Waterfestival

The Stearns Conservation District staff hosted a session at the Three Rivers Waterfestival on October 1st, 2025. This was a waterfestival for 3rd and 4th grade students. During the session students played Project WET's The Incredible Journey game. During the game, students became water molecules and traveled to different stations learning about the incredible journey that water takes as it moves through the cycle. Students were taught the different phases of the water cycle and why water remains in certain phases for longer periods.

Other sessions not hosted by the Stearns Conservation District covered topics relating to watersheds, zooplankton, run-off, groundwater, birds, macroinvertebrates, water safety and more!

Schools that attended this waterfestival included Oakhill Community School, St. Francis Xavier Catholic School, St. Katharine Drexel School, St. Joseph and more!
