Lake Koronis Shoreline Stabilization
This project consisted of a shoreline stabilization along Lake Koronis. The project was completed in 2014 and is located in the North Fork Crow River Watershed.

This site had many large retaining walls with concrete areas that were failing and in jeopardy of falling into the lake. The landowner desired to be proactive and restore the entire shoreline slope. This consisted of regrading, planting with native vegetation to stabilize the situation, reducing inputs of sediment and nutrients to the lake, and providing fish and wildlife habitat. This was a substantial improvement to the shoreline by removing the many impervious surfaces near the lake and creating a moderate access point.
Additionally, a permanent deed restriction was placed on the project area to ensure it remains as planned and continues to function for the benefit of the lake.
