Area 2 Envirothon 2026
The Stearns CD participates in the Area 2 Envirothon annually. The Envirothon is an environmental learning competition for students in grades 6th-12th.

The SCD helped coordinate the Area 2 Envirothon on April 15th, 2026 at the Prairie Woods Environmental Learning Center in Spicer, MN. There were a total of 55 students and 14 teams that participated in the competition.
Throughout the day, teams traveled to 5 different hands-on learning stations. Learning stations consisted of soils, wetlands/aquatics, wildlife, forestry, and a current environmental issue. This years environmental issue was "Non-Point Source Pollution. It Begins at Home." Senior teams then also competed in an oral presentation competition based on the current issue.
Saint Johns Prep and Sartell Highschool both brought home winning placements to advance to the State Envirothon in May! We were proud to be well represented in Stearns County at the 2026 Envirothon! We want to express thanks to all the teams that competed!
