Ben Wittrock

Ben obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from St. Cloud State University in Environmental Studies with a minor in Mass Communications. During his youth and college years, Wittrock owned a landscaping business and had the chance to understand construction management for unique projects. After college, he had the opportunity to work for the MN DNR in their fisheries department. Prior to joining the Stearns County SWCD in April 2022, he was in the land surveying industry where he surveyed solar and wind farms, pipelines, roads, and residential/commercial sites.

As an Engineering Technician, Wittrock’s work duties include a variety of engineering projects from conception through completion. Those tasks include preparing preliminary engineering reports and surveys, cost estimates, preparation of detailed plans and specifications, and final certification of the completed project. With his previous land surveying experience, Ben is excited to combine his passion for conservation and skills together in one position. Wittrock, a Stearns County native, feels fortunate to be able to work within his home county on a variety of conservation related projects and tasks.

Ben enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time with family and friends. He currently resides in Central MN with his wife, Kristin, and their puppy, Leo.
